Midwifery
Midwives are health care professionals specializing in pregnancy and childbirth who develop a trusting relationship with families and offer uniquely nurturing, hands-on care before, during, and after birth. This model of care results in confident, supported labor and birth.
With excellent midwifery outcomes and some of the highest rates of out-of-hospital birth in the country, Alaska is a special place to welcome your baby.

Expectant families often have questions regarding midwifery care, specific to our state and to our practice. The answers to the most frequently asked questions can be found here.
